Planned Pethood Registration Instructions
I've read the information packet. What do I do now?

Dear animal lover,

We’re so happy you are considering spaying or neutering your pet! As you know, millions of beautiful, loving, but unwanted dogs and cats are put to death every year. Your kindness will make a difference!

Planned Pethood is standing by to help, BUT...
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT YET!

You see, we are trying very hard to treat everyone fairly by taking calls in order. The length of our waiting list changes from day to day. We will usually be able to accommodate you within a few weeks, and sometimes even one week, if you will help us by taking these simple steps:

1) Please make sure you have read all the material in this packet. You may be eligible for other discounts.

2) Next, if you’d like to schedule a spay or neuter for your pet, PLEASE DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING TO US. THAT CAN CAUSE A DELAY OF UP TO A MONTH! There’s a faster, easier way. Here’s how:

3) Dial 526-3415 — the same number you called to get this information packet.

4) Wait for the message to end. After the beep, say the following:

  • “I have read your information packet. I’d like to schedule a spay or neuter for my pet.“
  • My name is ____________“
  • My last name is spelled ____________"
  • My evening phone number is ____________"
  • “The Flagstaff veterinarian I have chosen is____________."
  • If your female is pregnant or in heat and you can’t keep her away from males, then say: “This is an emergency situation. Please call immediately!!”

5) If your message gets garbled or dropped by a cell phone, we won't be able to get in touch with you! Please try to use a regular telephone or repeat all the information.

6) That’s all there is to it! One of our representatives will get in touch, usually within a few days. He or she will ask for some basic information about your pet (name, age, health, etc.) and send you a certificate to take to your veterinarian.

Thanks for calling Planned Pethood, and thanks for caring about the animals.
